Growing up on the Connecticut shoreline with the Saybrook outer light beacon for a nightlight, Jeff has been involved in boats and yachting all his life. Even the view from his college classrooms was of yachts heading north and south on the Intracoastal Waterway.
This pleasant distraction might have been the reason that within a year of graduation in 1979 he was knocking on doors in Ft. Lauderdale until he was hired as a yacht broker.
Having only three "jobs" in his yacht brokerage career has allowed him to focus on the market and build client relations. With over 700 closings under his belt, it's safe to say Jeff has been involved in sales of nearly every type of vessel. At this point in his career the majority of his clients have dealt with Jeff before, some many times! Most of those that are not repeat clients are referrals from clients and other marine professionals.
Although one of Jeff's specialties is the marketing and seller representation of fine yachts 50' - 130' (his listing presentations are second to none), nearly each year half of his income is derived by representing buyers as well. Many sales require a refit. Jeff's nearly 30 years of experience in the yachting business gives him access to the very best tradesmen to improve these yachts to the expectations of their new owners.
Another facet of the business that Jeff enjoys is new construction. From production to custom yachts, Jeff has guided owners in projects from 50' to 119'. His most notable project is the 119' Crescent "IMPETUOUS" on which he cruises aboard with the owner each year. In 2006 a long term goal was realized, when he and his partners purchased an office condo on Ft. Lauderdale's famed 17th Street Causeway, considered by many to be the "Wall Street of Yacht Brokerage". It is from this office that Jeff will work hard for you as "your broker" whether you are buying or sellingReturn to Broker List
